Petauke Central Member of Parliament JAY BANDA has been suspended from Parliament for 14 days.
Speaker of the National Assembly NELLY MUTTI has suspended Mr. BANDA for disorderly conduct in the house.
Mr. BANDA repeatedly raised points of Orders in the house after he was stripped of his position as Whip of Independent members of Parliament.
He was seeking to know whether it was in order for his fellow parliamentarians to allegedly mock him over the development.
Earlier Speaker of the National Assembly, NELLY MUTTI announced the removal of Mr. BANDA from the position of Whip of the Independent Members of Parliament.
This was on grounds that some independent members of parliament had withdrawn their membership to the Independent members of parliament Committee.
