One mentally challenged correctional service inmate has died while another sustained injuries after jumping out of a moving motor vehicle in Kalomo District.
Deputy Police Public Relations Officer DANNY MWALE says the deceased identified as NCHIMUNYA MUGALA sustained fatal head injuries and was pronounced dead on arrival at Kalomo Urban Clinic.
He says the other inmate VINCENT CHINTOBELE aged 20 is receiving treatment.
Mr. MWALE says the two jumped through the window of a moving Zambia Correctional Service vehicle, about 8-kilometers south of Kalomo last night around 21:00 hours.
He has said in an interview with ZNBC news that the bus was coming from Chainama East Hospital in Lusaka with Six people on board.
Mr. MWALE says the body of the deceased is in Kalomo Urban Clinic mortuary.
