The Zambia Cooperative Federation -ZCF- says increasing maize production is the permanent solution to the high mealie meal prices.
ZCF Acting General Manager GODFREY MUNYORO says the current maize production levels cannot meet the current demand which goes beyond the country’s borders.
Mr. MUNYORO has observed that the high production of the country’s staple food will lead to the high supply of the commodity on the market which will result in reduced prices.
He has therefore called on Zambians to support government’s interventions that are aimed at resolving the mealie meal situation in the country.
