Two illegal miners have died after being buried alive while digging copper ore at Cop-F sampling mine pit along the Chingola-Chililabombwe road.
The accident happened around 01-hours today when a trench they were digging collapsed on them.
Copperbelt Province Police Commissioner PEACEWELL MWEEMBA has confirmed the development in a statement to ZNBC NEWS in Kitwe.
Mr. MWEEMBA has identified the two as LANGSON LUWO aged 28 of Chiwempala and the other one has only identified as CHARLES.
The two bodies were retrieved by their friends today around 06-hours and taken to Nchanga General Hospital where they have been deposited awaiting burial.
