I have followed the Ministerial Statement presented before Parliament by Minister of Education Hon. Douglas Syakalima in regards to massive recruitment of 30 000 Teachers.
I love the tabulated plan of transparency during the recruitment process. Just like in Health sector, I will monitor the processes in Education sector too and ensure that the plan is followed and implemented through out the process.
If well managed, our education system than before will stand a chance to be matched with the international standard requirement. As you may be aware, in any developing country like Zambia, it is education system that can raise the levels of people’s productivity and impactful economic improvement.
It is with such background and a well articulated Ministerial Statement that I wish to further agree and commit that recruitment of Teachers will continue every year for the next Five years. This is in order to reduce unemployment levels among Teachers and improve the teacher-pupil ratio.
