Highlight of my career….As Fashion meets Benzema 

Chipolopolo striker Fashion Sakala Jnr has described meeting French striker Karim Benzema as one of the highlights of career. 

Sakala took to social media to express his happiness at having you share a pitch with a player he just used to watch on TV and draw inspiration from. 

Sakala’s Al Feiha succumbed to a 3-0 loss to Benzema captained Al Ittihad in midweek in the Kings Cup with a brace from Moroccan Abderrazak Hamdallah and a goal from the former Real Madrid star. 

“I am greatly humbled as Im looking back at the time when my father took me on a bike,and we travelled to Chipata City for football trials in 2012.This was truly the beginning of my dreams.

I am now sharing the pitch with players that Ive been idolizing and drawing inspiration from throughout my own journey.

Meeting Karim Benzema was very special and remains one of the highlights of my career.

I salute the power of PRAYERS & HARD WORK.”

Sakala recently had a chance to finally share the pitch and square off with five time Ballon dOr winner, Cristiano Ronaldo, his outmate idol. 

Sakala has scored six goals and assisted two in 12 matches for Al Feiha this season.
