President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA has reiterated Government’s resolve to work with the church to deliver development to the people.

Speaking during a thanksgiving Mass on the occasion of the Catholic Diocese of Mongu Silver Jubilee Celebration, President HICHILEMA said the Church has been instrumental in providing social services to the people of Mongu and the country.

He says the Government will continue fostering a deeper relationship with the Church in bettering the lives of people of Zambia.

And President HICHILEMA has emphasized the need for the two parties to work together in fighting and ending corruption.

And in his homily, Mongu Diocese Bishop, EVANS CHINYEMBA has urged the congregation to remain faithful to God and his word.

He said for the last 25 years, the Diocese has been nourished by the word of God to which the Church membership has been a part.

The Bishop said the jubilee celebration is a time for renewing commitment to working for God.

Meanwhile, Barotse Royal Establishment- BRE- Ngambela MUKELA MANYANDO paid tribute to the Church for the services it continues to lend to the people in the Province and the country as a whole.

The Ngambela has pledged the BRE’s commitment to working with the Church to better the lives of the people of Western Province.
