President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA has called on the Copper Queens to remain focused as they embark on their maiden World Cup appearance.
And, President HICHILEMA has urged the technical team to remain in touch and communicate to the Ministry of Sport on the affairs of the players.
The President who spoke to the players and the Technical Team virtually said the Zambian people and Government are behind the team.
President HICHILEMA also stressed that the government is partnering with the private sector to ensure that the Copper Queens have everything they need.
And Copper Queens Coach BRUCE MWAPE said the team will NOT disappoint the country at the World Cup.
Meanwhile, Striker, BARBARA BANDA thanked government for the stance taken on Goal Keeper HAZEL NALI.
BANDA said NALI’s stay is a boost to the team.
BANDA also appealed to President HICHILEMA who is also Commander-in- Chief to look into promotion of the players that serve in the defence force.
Meanwhile, Head of Delegation, Colonel PRICILLAH KATOBA said the team is READY for the first GAME against JAPAN which will be played on Saturday, July 22nd at 09 hours Zambian time.
