The Center for Trade Policy and Development -CTPD- says adverse effects of climate change continue to be a threat on Zambia’s food security.
CTPD Executive Director ISAAC MWAIPOPO says the challenges posed by climate change have led to reduced crop yield.
Mr. MWAIPOPO says this is why Government should put measures in place that increase annual crop yields.
Speaking at a press briefing Mr. MWAIPOPO also urged Government to support small scale farmers in adopting agro-processing and value addition techniques.
He explained that this will help to reduce post-harvest losses and increase income through high value products.
