The Handball Association of Zambia -HAZ- says it will assemble a strong side to represent the country at the 2024 Africa Cup of Nations to be held in Egypt.
HAZ- President BWALYA BANDA says the participation of the Zambia Men’s Handball team at the Africa Cup is critical as the tournament serves as a dual qualifier.
Speaking to ZNBC Sport News, BANDA further said the Association is working to raise over one million kwacha needed for teams travel and logistics.
BANDA said should the team finish among the top participants they will stand a chance of qualifying to the 2024 Paris Olympic games and the 2025 Poland and Norway World Cup.
The 2024 Handball Africa Cup of Nations will run from January 18th to 28th, 2024.
