Local Government Permanent Secretary MAAMBO HAAMAUNDU says the law will visit those conniving with street vendors to promote illegal trading spaces.
The warning comes in light of reports that some street traders are conniving with shop owners to trade on the streets when they notice NO council and state police presence.
Mr. HAAMAUNDU says the warning will be extended to members of the public buying from those setting up illegal trading spaces.
Speaking to ZNBC News, Mr. HAAMAUNDU said all shop owners who are of the habit of displaying their goods outside their shops should stop.
Government recently put an end to street vending activity and opened up opportunities for traders to use legal markets.
