The Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants -ZICA- has appealed to the government to appoint the ZCAS Board as it is critical to ensuring smooth operations of ZCAS and ZCAS University.
ZICA President YANDE MWENYE says ZCAS has not had a governing Board for the past one year and nine months, which has led to the current challenges the institution is facing and impacting adversely on its brand.
Ms. MWENYE says the Institute is important to the nation as it ensures that the country has professional accountants.
In a statement issued to ZNBC News, Ms. MWENYE said ZICA is concerned that the principles of corporate governance are not being adhered to as evidenced from reports on the ongoing misunderstandings between ZCAS and ZCAS University.
