Government is deeply saddened by the death of 32 people in the accident that occurred on the Masansa – Mboroma road in Luano district yesterday.
Chief Government Spokesperson, CHUSHI KASANDA says the incident, where a truck lost control and overturned, resulting in the loss of so many lives, has left the nation in mourning.
Ms. KASANDA has since conveyed Government heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and the people of Central Province on the painful loss.
She says thoughts and prayers are with the families during this extremely challenging and sorrowful time.
Ms. KASANDA, who is also Information and Media Minister, told ZNBC News in a statement that the government understands the immense pain and grief that the families are going through.
And Ms. KASANDA said the government, through the Disaster Management and Mitigation Unit (DMMU), will provide support to the affected families and survivors.
She says Government will provide Coffins, Transport, and food for bereaved families.
Ms. KASANDA said the Government will bear the full cost of medical expenses for the injured survivors to ensure they receive the best possible care and treatment.
