Agriculture Minister REUBEN MTOLO says Government will phase out the Farmers Input Support Programme-FISP and replace it with affordable loans for Farmers.

Mr. MTOLO explains that the phasing out of the program will be done gradually to ensure that Farmers are prepared in readiness for the phasing out of the program.

He has told parliament that phasing out the program will also help to eliminate ghost beneficiaries and bring sanity in the Agriculture sector.

Mr. MTOLO noted that some farmers have been on the program for many years and that some do not even exist.
