The Government has released the money needed for the treatment of Commonwealth Gold Medalist MUZALA SAMUKONGA’s injury.
SAMUKONGA acknowledged receipt of the money through his facebook page which was monitored by ZNBC News.
SAMUKONGA said he will immediately proceed with treatment and will update the nation at a later stage because he is not aware of how long the treatment will take.
He is however hopeful of returning to training before the world championships later this month.
SAMUKONGA said participating at the world championships is a sure way of raising the Zambian flag high which has been his dream since childhood.
