President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA says Government will continue to create an environment for businesses to succeed so that they can spare some money to support the less privileged in society.
President HICHILEMA has praised Institutions and Individuals who support community needs that should be ordinarily be handled by Government.
The President has encouraged businesses to work hard and succeed so that they can fund more community projects.
Speaking during the launch of the First National Bank-FNB- Foundation in Lusaka this afternoon, President HICHILEMA said the Bank’s support to the Health sector fits well into Government’s agenda of improving access to health facilities .
And, FNB Board Chairman RICHARD MAZOMBWE said the FNB Foundation will be anchored on development goals outlined in the 8th National Development Plan and United Nations Sustainable Development Goals- SDG’s.
Mr. MAZOMBWE said the Bank will extend a minimum of one-percent of its profit after tax towards the Foundation to support community needs.
Speaking earlier, Acting Finance Minister, CHARLES MILUPI called on other institutions to emulate FNB.
