Government has bought 10 skip-bin trucks to be distributed to different councils across the country.
Local Government Permanent Secretary, NICHOLAS PHIRI says this will facilitate the collection of waste in communities.
He says most of the local authorities have been facing challenges with lack of transport for waste collection resulting in un collected waste.
Mr. PHIRI has disclosed that in Lusaka alone, about 50 per cent of waste is not collected.
