The Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development has released K8m for the rehabilitation of the 66 kilometers Gwembe-Chipepo road in Gwembe District, Southern Province.
Gwembe Member of Parliament TYSON SIMUZINGILI says the money was released this week and it will help complete the remaining 25 kilometers of the road.
Mr. SIMUZINGILI says the previous K5m which the Ministry released last month helped speed up the works which have so far reached Munyumbwe Township.
Speaking in an interview with ZNBC News in Lusaka this morning, Mr. SIMUZINGILI said the Gwembe-Chipepo road is an economical road which government has prioritised.
He has thanked the Ministry of Local Government for releasing the funds which will help work on the road before the rains intensify.
