Government has encouraged the 67 athletes who will represent the country at the 2019 Morocco All Africa Games to focus on winning medals.
Youth Sport and Child Development Minister Emmanuel Mulenga says athletes taking part in various sports disciplines must strive to Mint medals as a way to honour government’s investment in Sports.
During the All Africa games send-off Ceremony held in Lusaka this afternoon, Mulenga urged the Athletes to avoid engaging in scandals that would tarnish the image of the Country.
And Director of Sports at the Ministry Bessie Chelemu assured the Minister that all the athletes that will take part in 9 out of 24 activists will bring back medals.
And National Olympics Committee of Zambia General Secretary Boniface Kambikambi said only the best athletes in the country were selected for the games.
The 67 Athletes accompanied by 21 officials and Medical Staff will tomorrow travel to Morocco to take part in the All Africa games which will run from August 19th to the 31st 2019.
