Kawambwa Member of Parliament NICKSON CHILANGWA has surrendered himself to Police.
Police Spokesperson RAE HAMOONGA says Mr. CHILANGWA handed himself over to Kawambwa Police Station TODAY.
Mr. HAMOONGA says the Kawamba lawmaker has since been detained in custody.
He says Mr. CHILANGWA will on Monday be presented before the Court in Kawambwa that issued a bench warrant against him.
This is contained in a statement availed to ZNBC News in Lusaka.
And Mr. HAMOONGA says Police have apprehended 52 junkies in Lusaka.
He says Police rounded up the junkies during an operation conducted between last night and the early hours of today.
Mr. HAMOONGA says the operation was done Kamanga, Obama, Big Jose, Chris Mall , Ndeke Mean wood, Kampasa Village, Kaunda Square Stages One and Two as well as other crime infested areas.
