The Food Reserve Agency – FRA – has paid out over 220 million Kwacha to maize farmers in Southern Province.
FRA Public Relations Coordinator, JOHN CHIPANDWE says a total of 47,708 metric tonnes of white maize was purchased as of August, 10 2023.
Mr. CHIPANDWE has urged farmers to continue delivering white maize and paddy rice to FRA to ehance the country’s national strategic food reserves.
He further added that funds are available and the Agency is paying promptly once crops are delivered.
