Four people have died while ten others have sustained serious injuries after the DAF Leyland truck they were travelling on overturned on the Msoro/Katete road in Mambwe district.
The survivors have been admitted to Saint Francis Mission hospital in Katete.
Eastern Province police commanding officer LIMPO LIYWALII told ZNBC News that the accident involving a Leyland truck registration number ALK 7290 occurred around 14:00 hours today.
He said the vehicle had 13 passengers on board and the driver MALISAWA MUDENDA of Lusaka is among the four people who have died.
Mr. LIYWALII said the vehicle was extensively damaged.
