The 2023/24 FAZ Women’s Super Division enters week 7 of action this weekend with some exciting fixtures to look out.

Log leaders Red Arrows will be hoping to extend their unbeaten run when they face the Stubborn YASA Queens while Indeni Roses, Green Buffaloes and ZISD are on the same path going into this weekend’s assignments.

Red Arrows’ unbeaten run will be under scrutiny on a super sunday as they host Stubborn YASA at Nkoloma Stadium in a match set for 10h00.

Arrows lead the table with 15 points from 5 games while YASA will be hoping to bounce back to winning ways which could push them out of the relegation zone having only won once out of their three games played so far which makes this tie even more interesting with all to play for from both teams.

In Ndola, second-placed Indeni Roses will entertain Luyando Foundation Girls in what is expected to be an entertaining game set for Indeni Sports Complex at 15h00.

Indeni is among the teams that is yet to succumb to defeat this season managing a 100% winning record in 4 games and is one of only two sides yet to concede a goal alongside Green Buffaloes so expectations will be very high from the Smart Roses.

On the other hand, League debutants Luyando has proved to be a team that is likely to stay in the Super Division and they will surely give Indeni a good run for their money when the two teams meet for the first time ever with only 5 points separating the two sides with Luyando occupying 7th position from 5 games played.

Meanwhile, defending Champions Green Buffaloes Women Football Club will take a short trip to Central Province ahead of Sunday clash against Kabwe Celtic Queens set for 13h00 at President Stadium in a match that will be broadcasted live on ZNBC TV3 via Top Star.

Buffaloes are unbeaten in three matches played so far and haven’t conceded any goal as they sit fourth on the log and this tie against bottom-placed Celtic who are still winless on paper looks like it could be another maximum points for the Nyanta Girls over Team Bapele.

Elsewhere, The Elite Ladies will be up against Green Eagles Women Football Club in another lunchtime kickoff at 13h00 at Woodlands Stadium and the match will be live on ZNBC TV3 via Top Star.

The Elite will be going into this game coming from back-to-back victories and they will be hoping to carry on that winning streak while Eagles will be fighting to bounce back to winning ways after being held to a 1-1 draw by Police Dove Queens in midweek.

In Solwezi, Police Dove Queens will welcome the rejuvenated Zambian Institute for Sustainable Development (ZISD) Women Football Club at Independence Stadium Annex Ground at 15h00.

Doves are third on the log standing with 10 points, 3 above ZISD who are sixth on the table.

Fearless Doves are coming from a disappointing 1-1 draw against Green Eagles while ZISD will be hoping to carry on from a  5-nil victory over Kabwe Celtic last weekend with the likes of fans favourite Inonge Kaloustian scoring a brace which promises to be a cracker of a match.

At Imboela Stadium in Lusaka, Nkwazi Queens will host Trident Queens at 15h00 with only a point separating the two sides who have managed only a single victory so far.

Nkwazi is 13th on the table with 5 points while Trident is 15th and in the relegation Zone which makes this tie even more interesting.

The Parliamentarians, National Assembly will host The Royal Girls, Queens Sports Academy on Sunday at Independence Stadium in Lusaka at 12h00.

Queens are coming from a 2-nil victory over Police Dove while Assembly edged YASA 2-1  which makes this tie to be exciting as both teams will be aiming for maximum points.

Queens are fifth on the table with 8 points, one better than eighth placed Assembly.

At Sunset Stadium, Sensational ZANACO Ladies will welcome Kamfinsa Police Blue Eagles at 15h00 on Saturday.

ZANACO are the favourites on paper going into this fixture but coming up against Kamfinsa won’t be an easy walk in the park.

Kamfinsa has proved to be lethal upfront scoring 8 goals but their defence has also been porous, conceding a lot of goals.

ZANACO are seventh on the table with 7 points while Kamfinsa are fourteenth with 4 points.

Chipata Girls were scheduled to visit the friendly city of Ndola to face ZESCO Ndola Girls but this match has been pushed forward to a later date.
