Chipolopolo Boys forward Fashion Sakala has reportedly turned down a big money move to Saudi Arabia.

According to the Daily Mail Sakala has decided against joining the high profile arrivals in Saudi Arabia in favour  of staying at Ibrox.

The FC Rangers hitman was two weeks ago reported to have attracted interest  from Saudi Arabia top flight side, Al Fayha.

Last summer, The Zambian international was the subject of reported interest from Premier League new boys Burnley but remained at Ibrox.

According to media reports Sakala was lined up for a move worth a reported 4 million to Saudi Arabia which would have seen the 26-year-old follow in the footsteps of ex-Celtic rival Jota who moved to Al-Ittihad this month.

Saudi Arabia has in the last 15 months attracted a number of top players from Europe including Portuguese superstar Cristiano Ronaldo, French forward Karim Benzema, Brazilian Firmino, N’golo Kante among others.

The showman was involved in 20 goals (12 goals and 8 assists for Rangers ) in 41 appearances in all Competitions.

Sakala is expected to be an important part of the Chipolopolo squad when they start their 2026 World Cup Group E qualifiers where they have been placed with 2022 World Cup semi-finalists, Morocco.
