FALL ARMYWORM INVASION SPREADS IN CHINSALI

Over one thousand eight hundred and ninety hectors of land in Chinsali has been ravaged by fall army worms compared to one thousand and eighty recorded last week.

Chinsali District crops officer Wilfred kamima says the situation is severe.

Mr. Kamima says sensitization programs are being carried across Chinsali on how farmers can handle the pest culturally or mechanically.

He says distribution of the chemicals is ongoing and hopes the infestation will be brought under control.
