fake-dollars-will-be-traded-on-black-market-association-of-bureau-de-change-~

The Association of Bureau de Change says the $2M counterfeit notes that the Drug Enforcement Commission -DEC- said is hidden in the economy, will most likely be traded on the Black market.

Association President PAUL KALUMBA says most people, who deal in counterfeit money, avoid Bureaus because they have safeguards that detect fake money.

Mr. KALUMBA says people wanting to change dollars should, therefore, avoid the Black market no matter how attractive the exchange rate might be.

He says members of the public should ensure they get contact details of whoever they are dealing with.

Mr. KALUMBA said this in an interview with ZNBC News in Lusaka.

He said that this is to ensure that they protect themselves from being found with counterfeit money.

Mr KALUMBA said the Association will continue working with Government to deal with crimes regarding counterfeit money.

He said the law already requires Bereaus to report any cases of fake money .
