The European Union-EU- has started holding technical discussions with five water utilities before signing a new water support project.
EU delegation to Zambia and COMESA project manager ROMAN IMANTO says the five water utilities that will benefit from the European Union support are Eastern, Nkana, Lukanga, Southern and Chambishi water.
Mr IMANTO was speaking when his team called on Eastern Province Minister PETER PHIRI before holding discussions with Eastern Water and Sanitation Company in Chipata.
And Mr. PHIRI said the region has serious water challenges and that he is looking forward to the signing of the water project.
