(ZANIS) Eastern Province Permanent Secretary PAUL THOLE has given a one-week ultimatum to Chadiza Town Council to fix problems that Champhanda staff house have.

Mr. THOLE is disappointed with Chadiza Town Council management for allowing a contractor to hand-over three projects which were poorly done.

The Permanent Secretary said it was disheartening that the council engineers accepted the staff house to be handed over when it was poorly done.

Mr. THOLE has wondered how the council cleared the project to have been completed when it had no running water while other fittings like doors and sinks were already damaged.

He has also refused to commission Health facilities, including Kaluma and Ngala Health Posts which have similar irregularities.

And Chadiza Member of Parliament, JONATHAN DAKA, has expressed concern at the slow pace at which the council was implementing CDF projects adding that there was need for the local authority to speed-up the process.
