Labour and Social Security Minister BRENDA TAMBATAMBA says the launch of reforms on the employment code Act will address several concerns affecting workers.
Speaking when she interacted with workers at RUIDA Investment a Chinese mine operating at Jifumpa mine in Kasempa, Ms. TAMBATAMBA said government wants to support mining investments in order to attain the three million metric tones copper production target by 2030.
And RUIDA Investment General Manager LI GANG said his company has started addressing all concerns raised by the ministry of labour.
Early this year, RUIDA Investment was fined 90-thousand Kwacha for failure to comply with labour laws and statutory obligations.
