An Elephant has killed a 53-year-old man in Lumezi district, Eastern province.
The man who was in the company of three other colleagues was collecting firewood in the bush when the elephant attacked and killed him.
Eastern Province Police Commanding Officer, LIMPO LIYWALII has confirmed the incident, which happened on Thursday around 09 hours.
Mr LIYWALII has identified the deceased as ELIAS NG’UNI of Chitete village in Chief CHITUNGULU’s area.
He has explained that the incident was reported by officers from the Department of National Parks and Wildlife.
