Government has reaffirmed that former president EDGAR LUNGU is enjoying all his rights as enshrined in the law.
Acting Chief Government Spokesperson MAKOZO CHIKOTE says Mr. LUNGU is enjoying his liberties and entitlements in accordance with the law governing former Presidents.
According to a statement issued to ZNBC News in Lusaka, Mr. CHIKOTE said contrary to reports that the former President is being harassed by government; the rule of law is being upheld for the benefit of all citizens.
He however said former President LUNGU’s immunity is a privilege extended to him alone and does not extend to his family members.
