“domestic-human-trafficking-on-the-rise”-~

The Ministry of Home Affairs has expressed concern on increased domestic human trafficking.

Ministry of Home Affairs Permanent Secretary DICKSON MATEMBO says the Ministry is worried about the absence of deliberate mechanisms to address domestic human trafficking.

Mr. MATEMBO has since called on domestic and international stakeholders to devise mechanisms appropriate to address the scourge.

He said this in a speech read on his behalf by Director for Home Affairs Research and Planning Department GOODSON SINYENGA at a stakeholders’ advocacy meeting for trafficking in persons in Lusaka today.

And, International Organization for Migration -IOM- Chief of Mission KEISHA LIVERMORE urged the Government to capacitate and fund the Anti Human Trafficking Department to strengthen ongoing efforts towards combating human Trafficking.
