Patson Daka is expected to lead the attack this evening as Chipolopolo squares off with the Pharaohs of Egypt.

Daka has been in fine form at National Team level despite struggling for game time at club level.

The former Power Dynamos man scored five goals in the 2023 Cte DIvoire AFCON qualifiers for the 2012 AFCON winners.

Only Nigeria and Napoli goal machine Victor Osihmen (10) managed to score more in the qualification round.

The Kafue Celtic product scored Zambias second goal as they thrashed Cte DIvoire 3-0 to secure their place at the Africa Cup of Nations which will be hosted by Ivory Coast.

The 24 year old scored in both games against Cte DIvoire and also scored a brace against Lesotho away in Johannesburg.

Daka also scored the equaliser for Zambia in the 1-1 draw against Comoros on match day 6.

He scored 5 goals in the qualifiers for the 2021 AFCON as he emerged as joint top scorer with Nigerias Victor Osihmen despite missing match day 3 and 4 due to injury.

The Leicester City forward has scored 10 goals in his last 10 AFCON qualifying games.

He has 13 goals for Zambia in total and will be eager to add to that tally.

Daka is expected to be supported by Saudi Arabia based Fashion Sakala Jnr and skipper Lubambo Musonda on either side.

Sakala has scored 4 goals in the Saudi Pro League so far this season.

Lubambo has been doing well for Silkeborg in the Danish Superliga including providing an assist in their big win over Lyngby over the weekend.

Grant could however call on Edward Chilufya who has been impressive for Hacken since his return to Sweden. Chilufya has scored three goals in the league so far.

Evans Kangwa is also looking to start the match and has been in fine form for his Chinese Super League side.

Francisco Mwepu, and Wisdom Moyela Libamba are also available for selection.

Zambia and Egypt will square off this evening for the first time since 2015 at the Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium in the United Arab Emirates.

Kickoff for the match will be at 20:00 hours local time (18:00 hours Zambian time.
