The Ministry of Education is undertaking a curriculum reform to produce the needed human capital.
Education Minister, DOUGLAS SYAKALIMA says a good curriculum is important in facilitating life-long learning competencies.
Mr SYAKALIMA said this when he officially opened the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization International Bureau of Education (UNESCO-IBE) capacity building workshop on curriculum, for executives in the Ministry of Education.
And IBE Programme Specialist, FLORENCE SSEREO said IBE’s action is in line with the resolutions of the Transforming Education Summit which was held last year.
Meanwhile, UNESCO Chief of Education Section for the Southern African Region Office, PETER WELLS stressed the importance of developing a curriculum that differentiates individual’s levels of learning.
