The Local Government Service Commission has approved the new structure for the township Councils.
Commission Chairperson ACKSON SEJANI says the new structure is meant to respond to the current challenges and the increased responsibility that has been given to local authorities in line with the decentralisation policy.
Mr. SEJANI says the new structure is as a result of secular number 2 of 2023 issues by cabinet on the devolution of staff from Central Government to the local authority.
He said this in an interview with ZNBC news in Lusaka.
