Zambia Womens National Team have arrived in Rabat for the back-to-back international friendly matches against Morocco.
The Copper Queens arrived at the Muhammad V international airport at 12h30 local time (11h30 Zambian time) via an Egyptian Airways flight.
The team left for Morocco at lunchtime on Monday connecting through Egypt.
Head coach Bruce Mwape has assembled a strong squad for the two matches led by skipper Barbra Banda.
Natasha ‘Little Tasha’ Nanyangwe, Jackline Nkole, and Pauline Zulu have returned to the set up.
Regulars Lushomo Mweemba, Ochumba Oseke Lubanji, Mary Wilombe, Mary Mulenga and Evarine Susan Katongo are part of the squad.
Spain based Rachel Kundananji, Kazakhstan based trio of Martha Tembo, Catherine Musonda and Ireen Lungu are expected to join the team in Morocco directly from their bases.
The back-to-back friendlies against Morocco were set for 22 and 26 September 2023 in Rabat.
Mwape will use the friendlies to prepare for the Olympic qualifiers and 2023 COSAFA Womens Championship that will run from 4 October 15 October in South Africa.
The Copper Queens are in Group B alongside Angola, Mozambique and Comoros at the regional competition.
