The Zambia Women’s National Team will face the Atlas Lionesses of Morocco later this month in two international friendly matches. 


The Copper Queens will face Morocco on Friday, September 22nd, 2023, and Tuesday, September 26th, 2023 away in Morocco the ZamFoot Crew understands. 

Both the Lionesses and the Copper Queens participated at the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup. 

Morocco reached the round of 16 losing to France while Zambia failed to get out of the group after losing their opening two games before beating Costa Rica 3-1 to record their first win of the global showpiece. 

The two teams are using the two friendly matches as part of their preparations for the 2024 Paris Olympic Games qualifiers. 

Zambia will face Mali in the second round of the 2024 Paris Olympic Games Qualifiers in October.

The winner between Zambia and Mali will face either Ghana or Benin in the third round of qualifiers which is the penultimate round before booking a slot in next summers Paris Olympic Games.
