Home Affairs Minister Stephen Kampyongo is happy that the people of Mandevu have used part of the Constituency Development Fund to build a Police station.
He says the move is commendable as it compliments the Ministry of Home Affairs efforts to build polices stations closer to the people.
Mr. Kampyongo thanked Mandevu Member of Parliament Jean Kapata for spearheading the initiative.
Mr. Kampyongo was speaking when he officially opened Kabanana Police Post in Mandevu Constituency in Lusaka.
Speaking at the same event Mandevu Member of Parliament Jean Kapata said the construction of the new police post is as a result of the increase in population in Kabanana area.
Meanwhile Lusaka Province Deputy Commissioner of Police Donald Mwandila said the new Police Post will help to boast the morale of officers.
