Eastern Province Minister PETER PHIRI says the church should join forces with the government and other stakeholders in promoting education for all.
Mr. PHIRI says the government has realised that the economic status of the country is dependent on the education of its citizenry.
Mr PHIRI said this in a speech read on his behalf by Deputy Provincial Permanent Secretary BEAUTY PHIRI at a Special celebration to honour Pentecostal Assemblies of God Zambia Eastern province founding Bishop BOYD MAKUKULA.
He appealed to the church to encourage its members to apply for funding from the Constituency Development Fund.
And, Pentecostal Assemblies of God Eastern District Bishop SAMS KAFUNDANGA said Bishop MAKUKULA played a key role in the construction of Trinity Praise Cathedral and growth of the church in the province.
Meanwhile, Bishop MAKUKULA’s brother ZICHE who represented the family said the clergyman has touched many lives through his works.
Pentecostal Assemblies of God Zambia Council of Bishops General Treasurer Bishop MALAWO MATYOLA delivered a sermon on Bishop MAKUKULA’s legacy of faith.
