Christine Musenge Malila Mulundika was a warrior for justice and equality under the law for all Zambians. As a relentless leader, courageous trade union chairperson and incisive freedom fighter – she helped us see that discrimination on basis of race or gender is harmful to us all as humanity.

Today the fruit of her labour is seen in legal reform that has allowed women paid Maternity Leave and through her challenging of the Public Order Act.
Christine Musenge Malila Mulundika inspired many who followed her to choose a higher path of truth and fairness.
We are deeply grateful for the legacy she has left the nation of Zambia, and we offer our gratitude and our condolences to her children and grandchildren as we mourn as a nation.
