Chipangali Town Council has allocated K1.5m for the construction and equipping of the first ever mortuary at Kasenga mini-hospital.
Council Chairperson MAXSON NKHOMA says the procurement process for the mortuary equipment and construction have reached an advanced stage.
Mr NKHOMA says the construction of the first ever mortuary will lessen the burden of the people of Chipangali who use Chipata Central Hospital Mortuary.
Mr NKHOMA was speaking in an interview with ZNBC News in Chipata.
He said the Council has also purchased a roller compactor in addition to the Grader that was commissioned in February this year.
