Chinese Companies have committed 1 .4 billion United States dollars of investment into the Zambian Economy.

This was after President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA addressed the Chinese Investors at the Zambia Investment and Tourism Promotion forum at Jinggangshan Conference Centre in China today.

ZDA Director General ALBERT HALWAMPA says Pingxiang Huaxu Technology has decided to partner with a Zambian local company to invest 800 million dollars in a wind and solar hybrid power generation project.

Mr. HALWAMPA says the project consists of 1000 Mega watts wind power combined with 200 mega watts generating stations and a wind power equipment and components manufacturing plant.

He told ZNBC News that the Investment worth 450 Million US Dollars will go towards a PV solar project in Lusaka city.

Mr. HALWAMPA said Jiangxi Special motor company limited has committed 290 Million United States dollars for the manufacturing of lithium batteries in Southern Province.

He said ZDA has seen consistent investments because of President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA’s commitment to trade and investment.
