Chief Munkanta of the Chishinga people in Kawambwa district has called for unity and reconciliation in the interest of harmony and development in his chiefdom.
The traditional leader has observed that there cannot be peace and development in the area when people are divided.
Chief Munkanta said this over the weekend at a dinner gala where he officially announced the inaugural traditional ceremony dubbed, “Ichumya Mulamba” slated for August 30th this year.
And speaking at the same event, Kawambwa Council Chairperson, Kalumba Chifumbe who was guest of honour, appreciated the initiative by the chief to come up with the traditional ceremony which will be used as a unifying event of the Chishinga people.
