North Western Province Council of Chiefs chairperson, Chief MUMENA of Kalumbila district says traditional leaders in the province are saddened by the conflict between the Lunda’s and Luvale’s in Zambezi.
This is after the violent conflict ensued between Lunda’s and Luvale’s over a graveyard on the east bank where the Makishi masquerade emerged as part of the preparations for the Likumbi Lya Mize traditional ceremony of Senior Chief NDUNGU.
In an Interview at his palace, Chief MUMENA said there is urgent need to resolve the conflict in Zambezi to promote peace and unity in the district.
Chief MUMENA urged Lunda’s and Luvale’s to begin to talk to each other to restore peace and unity in the district.
