Paramount Chief Mpezeni of the Ngoni people of Chipata says the death of a Zulu Prince MANGOSUTHU BUTHELEZI of Kwa Zulu Natal in South Africa is a big blow to the entire Ngoni clan.
Chief MPEZENI says Prince BUTHELEZI fought for full restoration of freedom and was an epitome and custodian of the Zulu culture.
He says the traditional leader should be mourned with dignity.
In a phone interview with ZNBC News from South Africa, the traditional leader thanked government for according him an opportunity to mourn his brother,
Chief MPEZENI is leading a team of Zambian traditional leaders at the funeral of prince BUTHELEZI in South Africa.
Other Chiefs in the entourage are Chiefs MADZIMAWE and MAGUYA from Kasenengwa and Chipata.
Senior Chief NSEFU and Chief JUMBE of Mambwe District are also in the entourage.
Prince BUTHELEZI died at the age of 95 last Saturday.
