Chief Justice MUMBA MALILA has called on Lawyers and Judges to join hands in an effort to curb lawlessness in society.
Dr. MALILA says Lawyers and Judges are charged with legal and ethical responsibility to protect the abuse of law.
He has also called on Lawyers to counsel their clients against issuing unwarranted attacks on the judiciary and judges once judgments are not delivered.
Dr. MALILA said this in LUSAKA at the Supreme Court during the Graduation Ceremony of 302 Zambia Institute of Advanced Legal Education –ZIALE- Graduates.
And Law Association of ZAMBIA -LAZ- Vice President NGOSA SIMACHELA called on the new advocates to observe professional standards and ethics.
Meanwhile, ZIALE Acting Director LEAH NGULUBE announced that 302 graduates cleared their examination out of 968 candidates for the April – May 2023 ZIALE Repeaters’ Examinations.
Mrs. NGULUBE said the figure represents 31 percent as opposed to 30.2 percent pass rate in 2022.
