Zambia’s 10-year-old TUMELO LWENYEKA will be in search of his fourth victory at the Africa Youth Chess Championship in Egypt as the tournament enters day three.

LWENYEKA, who is competing in the Under 10 Category, will be up against the Egyptian who is also yet to drop points making the pairing the most exciting game in the category.

And JOSEPH HANDIYA will be aiming to get back to winning ways after recording his first loss last evening in what was the competition’s longest game played over five hours.

Other players hoping to get back to winning ways are NAOMI MWALE in the girls Under 18, while 12-year-old Sensation JOSHUA SAUTI is in action against THUO CURTIS of Kenya.

In other Categories VICTORIA MWEETWA got her first victory at the ongoing championship beating TATIINA ZURI of Uganda after recording two draws in the first and second games.

Meanwhile after dropping points in the first game HAMBAYI NAMASIKU will be in search of her third successive win as she takes to the chess board.

Zambia has 17 chess players at the Africa youth Chess Championship in Egypt.
