Central Province Minister Sydney Mushanga has called for continued peace in the country ahead of the 2021 general elections.
And Mr. Mushanga says it is unfortunate that people who sit together in church end up fighting each other because of political affiliation.
He said this when he attended church service at St. Peter’s United Church of Zambia -UCZ- in Kabwe today.
The minister said elections come and go and that there is need to cherish the peace.
He also expressed concern that young people are used as tools of violence in the name of expressing their rights.
Mr. Mushanga said there must be civility in the way things are done adding that every right goes with a responsibility.
He has appealed to the clergy to continue praying for the country ahead of the polls.
And St. Peter ‘s Reverend In charge Bernard Mwanza said it is the role of the church to pray for all civic leaders.
