University of Zambia Professor of Demography JACOB MALUNGO has urged government to channel part of Constituency Development Fund -CDF- to addressing challenges of climate change.
Professor MALUNGO says extending CDF in addressing causes of climate change such as deforestation and environmental waste in communities will significantly contribute to government’s efforts in mitigating its impact.
He says addressing climate issues within constituencies will impact society with knowledge of preserving the environment.
Speaking during a Climate Change training for Journalists in Lusaka, Professor MALUNGO has further proposed to government to create a sustainable system to address climate issues as the population is increasing.
