Four people have died while one has suffered injuries in a road accident, which happened around 06.30 hours, in Lusaka’s Ibex Hill area, near Saint Aness Health Clinic.
The accident happened when a Toyota Camry veered off the road and hit into 5 pedestrians before overturning.
Among the deceased are 3 children, identified as JAMES PHIRI, aged 13, FELIX MWANSA, aged 14, and RICHARD MAPULANGA, aged 15, all pupils at Family Legacy School.
Police Deputy Spokesperson, DANNY MWALE has confirmed the accident, further stating that the fourth deceased is an adult male, yet to be identified.
Mr MWALE has added that the injured victim has been identified as SAMSON NGOMA, aged 13, also a pupil at Family Legacy School.
He has identified the driver of the vehicle as MULEMWA AKAMANI, aged 26, of Woodlands, and he is currently in police custody.
